Dream of Beautiful Long Hair like Kim Kardashian or Kourtney Kardashian? Thick Touchable Healthy Hair in no time! PART 2

It's often thought that the celebs have all the secrets... they can also pay to have all the secrets. Well here's a secret that we can all take advantage of... Long, thick, gorgeous hair in less than a few hours! No more waiting months for nature to run its course, no weird pills that promise super-human growth. HAIR EXTENSIONS!

Its the GO-TO service of all the Hollywood celebrities. Today, the hair extension business has grown into a multi-million dollar industry and has evolved into its own entity! Nowadays, you can walk into a salon and ask to either get your hair cut short or get your hair styled LONG! Amazeballs? We think so.

They are trendsetters, fashion icons and, in our opinion, the most FUN of today's Glamouratti. The Kardashians are on countless magazine covers and can be seen all over the tube in their hilarious reality shows. They are easy to relate to, albeit 'relate' is relative, and can see the fun in their fame. Its also super great that they can embrace the affordable with the luxe when style and beauty are involved.

Kourtney Kardashian, one of our faves at Deux Luxe, has wonderful flowing raven hair. Hard to believe that, in reality, her hair is fairly short! According to her blog, stylist Troy Jensen chopped off her ponytail just as she was leaving a photoshoot. After rocking the shorter do for a few months, she realized that she missed her long locks so much she decided to try weave-in extensions. As common practice for hair extensions, Kourtney would often have them removed to enjoy her shorter hair until she had the weave styled again.

Deux Luxe is a huge fan of human hair extensions and have been wearing them for years! We've tried all styles and hair types. The best thing is that they are not permanent and you can switch back and forth as you please!

Some great styles to try?
1) Clip in colors: get fun contrast in your hair with synthetic highlights. These clip on to your natural hair and add a punch of color! Tip: because these are synthetic, they cannot be heat styled and will melt when in contact with a flat iron or curling iron. Best to have your hair styled to match the extensions.

2) Clip in full extensions: These are the most popular with many women. Clip in full extensions are easy to place and give a dramatic effect, perfect when going out! Just part hair in sections, back comb at the root of hair (for grip) and clip in extensions. These are available in real human hair or synthetic. We suggest investing in human hair, they last for ages and can be washed and re-styled!

3) For the Beauty Bombshell, Fusion hair extensions: These are keratin-dipped real human hair extensions that are heat fused to small sections of your own hair. They are semi-permanent, lasting from 2-6 months. Not for the faint, you have to be committed! Lots of care needs to be taken when wearing fusion hair extensions.

Deux Luxe On the DL Tip: Do not use fabric softener on anything while wearing these. The softener actually breaks down the shiny coating on the hair extensions that keep them from getting nappy. Always style your hair in a loose plait (braid) when sleeping and showering. This maintains the long wear and prevents tangling and breakage. Invest in quality fusion hair extensions. This plays a big part in comfort. Cheap extension bonds dissolve quickly and can be a big itchy, nappy mess. The better the fusion hair extensions, the longer the bond stays dry and solid and the more comfortable and prettier you'll feel!

Here are a few celebs rocking beautiful extensions... and some who are an EPIC FAIL... we'll let you decide which is which! Until next time, TOODALOO!

I'm glad that I have full thick hair and don't need extensions.
Sometimes having lots of super thick hair is a pain in the butt,
but I just can't ever imagine paying so much for some hair extensions.
